Are you the right person for the job? | Association of Martial Arts Teachers

One thing I know about professional martial arts instructors is that we tend to be crazy in control.

We like how we can control our lessons by micro-controlling students to the point of their little finger, the depth of their breathing and what they are mentally focused on.

As we finish 2021, now is a great time to turn our attention in and answer a simple question, know what you know now… are you the right person for the job?

You may be wondering, “What job?”

Let’s touch it now and I’ll go in depth next Tuesday at the webinar at 2:00 PM EST.

It begins, “How are you preparing to make next year more profitable and satisfying than 2021?”

Here are some questions that will get you thinking about it and give you an insight into what I will cover in more detail during the webinar.

  1. What will be different next year?
  2. What does your organization chart look like?
  3. How much of what needs to be done?
  4. How much do you enjoy it?
  5. How good are you?
  6. Do you spend hours a week creating green belt results when you really need a black belt in this area?
  7. Will you continue teaching the same curriculum without any improvements?

Rather than trying to sell you the best answers to these questions, let me assure you that there are no “best answers” to these questions.

Everyone is different and some business strategies may be more in line with your personality than others.

Beware, this is not about feelings. Bills doesn’t care about your feelings.

However, once you know your natural inclinations, it is easier to create a plan that matches your personal motivations and preferences.

I’ll help you with the process on Tuesday.
