10 basic tips you should know when engaging in hand combat

1. Adrenaline response

5. Move Move Move!

If you are fighting one person, you will have to move. If you are fighting more opponents, you will have to move a lot!

A stationary target is easy to hit. Warriors spend as much time developing movement as they give blows. You need to move comfortably and keep your balance.

6. Strike over the target

“Pulling punches” is a term used in sparring when you pull back at the last minute to prevent serious damage. When you’re in a street fight, you want to do the opposite.

If you throw someone with your fist or elbow in the face, then you shouldn’t really aim at the face. You should aim a few inches behind him. This means that when you connect, you will expend maximum strength.

7. Center line

As for where to hit the human body to cause the most damage, proceed right in the middle. There are all the important things! When working from top to bottom, you have eyes, nose, mouth, throat, solar plexus, all internal organs and then your groin.

If you are facing an attacker for the first time and you are not sure what to do, but you know you have to fight, then it is a good tactic to give everything you can against another person’s weaknesses and eyes. There are very few men who can kick their weaknesses, and they are not cowards who attack strangers on the street.

8. Use your environment

If you are out for a walk with your dog and you are attacked by someone who intends to take your pockets, then it is okay to play a dirty game. If you walk alone, you should always search your environment – not only for potential threats, but also for things you can use if they arise.

Sand can be thrown in your eyes to give you time. Bricks, bottles and even fallen branches can be picked up and used as weapons.

9. Stay healthy

Fighting is hard work. Elite fighters are in amazing physical condition. Their training routines, diet regimens and sleep plans are tuned to help their minds and bodies do what they do over time.

Attackers usually choose the weak, so one of the best ways to win a fight before it starts is not to look like a target.

10. Get hand-to-hand combat training

This should be at the top of the list. If you want to help secure your victory against yourself, you should probably practice. Completing a martial arts or self-defense course may seem intimidating, but they are full of people who also want to be safe.

When it comes to choosing the best training systems for effectiveness, you should ignore more traditional martial arts. Boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ and Krav Maga are without a doubt the most effective in real life. Just remember to learn some punches.

Stay safe
