# 104: Participation Trophies [Video + Podcast]

Welcome to the 104th episode of the fight for a happy life, “Participation trophies.”

Awarding trophies for participation, as opposed to a real victory in action, is a controversial topic. But should it be?

Over the years, I have seen the pros and cons of participating trophies… and crazy side! After all, my vote is for practice … depending on how it is done. In fact, I’d say it’s no different from awarding martial arts ranks!

In this episode, I will share my thoughts on the value of acknowledging the efforts and celebrating the first steps on and off the mats. Is it possible that just showing up and trying is really more important than being the best?

Listen to my joke and then let me know what you think! Thank you for your participation. High-five for you. 🙂
