“Animals are close and dear to my heart and I have dedicated my life to improving their lives.”

Betty White, 1922-2021

Best known for her television roles as Sue Ann Nivens in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls, Betty White was also known for her love of animals – she personally devoted countless hours and resources to animal welfare and conservation.

Unfortunately, on December 31 – just 17 days before her 100th birthday – Betty White died.

Fans from all over the world, who wanted to pay tribute to the comedy icon and a lifelong advocate for animals, mobilized on social networks and #BettyWhiteChallenge became a trend.

#BettyWhiteChallenge, which takes place on January 17, White’s 100th birthday, is rapidly gaining momentum and urging everyone to donate at least $ 5 in her honor to rescue animals and shelters.
