Wrestle: Oklahoma State Cowboys 8-6 (1-2) at Texas Tech Red Raiders 12-3 (2-1)
Where to watch: Big 12 / ESPN +
Moneyline: Texas Tech -7.5 O / U 130
Texas Tech is hosting Oklahoma State in a makeup game that was canceled earlier in January after two major resume wins. Both teams played Tuesday with the Red Raiders, who came out victorious, while the Cowboys were not good enough for West Virginia.
The Cowboys shouldn’t be overlooked just for their record, as they beat Texas last week. This team plays through their guards because their top five guys in terms of minutes per match are all the guards. They are a certain size and their big man Moussa Cisse has an average of two blocks per game.
Texas Tech will probably have the same guys healthy as in the last game, with TJ Shannon again deciding on the time of the game. The fact that this team is where it is when it played several games without Shannon and Kevin McCullar is promising.
The key to this game for us will be to continue the defense we have been and keep the variations low again. We forced 14 against Baylor, while we ourselves had 12, which is basically the difference in the game. As these games begin to approach in Big 12, turnover margins will be a big factor later in the game.
Although I respect the Cowboys game and I know they are dangerous, I like the expansion in this game, in fact I think the final score will be 88-67. I feel that our defense will suffocate them and our game creators will continue to shine and continue the pace of the last two matches.
