This is one of the most complete Dallas Cowboys teams in recent memory

The Dallas Cowboys will play in the Sunday playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers, just one day before the 29th anniversary of being defeated in 1992 in the NFC Championship Game. It was the victory at Candlestick that started the Dallas dynasty, which the team had trouble approaching for more than a quarter of a century. Our common hope is that the drought will end this year, because the team is definitely in a position to have some post-season success.

Even though we are all nervous, the facts are as they are at the moment. Cowboys are an incredible statistical team according to many metrics that apply to both attack and defense. Football is easiest when you are the elite in everything and the Cowboys have such a fortune this season. Frankly, they are one of the most successful teams in the overall sense that this franchise has been publishing since the 1990s.

We’ve seen the Cowboys do in Offensive EPA / Play and Defensive EPA / Play Allowed, and when we look at the charts that have to do with the course that season, there’s no doubt that this is the best. -the Cowboys went around to enter the tournament this century.

As you can see, some of our favorite teams (2007, 2014, 2016) all had higher levels of offensive success (again, we remember that we use EPA / Play to define success here) than this season, damn even units outside the playoffs as of 2019 it also turned out.

But where things are dramatically different in the 2021 season, the Cowboys’ defenses are capable of achieving their own success independently of the attack. This is literally Dallas’ highest-ranking defense from the Defensive EPA / Play allowed to enter the playoffs since the 1990s.

There is chaos in the playoffs and it must be borne in mind that nothing is guaranteed; However, these cowboys seem to be a little more prepared for anything than any old cowboy team.
